Learn More About Kim
For more than twenty years, I have had the extraordinary privilege of walking beside women and families during one of life’s most sacred transformations. Midwifery has never simply been my profession, it is my calling, and I cannot imagine doing anything else.
Before I am a midwife, I am a wife to one of the most incredible men I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing and a mother to four amazing children who are my greatest joy. My family is the center of my world and continually reminds me of what matters most. When I’m not attending births, you’ll usually find me outdoors, hiking, kayaking, gathered around a campfire, or simply soaking in the beauty of God’s creation. Those quiet moments restore me and remind me of the incredible wisdom and design woven throughout creation.
I believe birth is sacred. It is far more than the arrival of a baby, it is the birth of a mother, the beginning of a family, and a transformation that leaves no one unchanged. Every woman possesses an innate wisdom, and I believe she deserves care that honors her body, her instincts, and the remarkable design of birth.
That belief is the inspiration behind the name InnerBirth. To me, birth begins long before a baby takes its first breath. It begins within. It is the quiet transformation of a woman discovering her strength, trusting her intuition, and stepping fully into motherhood. My deepest hope is that every family who walks through our doors leaves not only with a healthy baby in their arms, but with greater confidence in themselves and a lasting sense of peace.
When you choose to work with me, I want you to know that I see you as so much more than a patient. I want to know your story, understand your hopes, answer your questions, and help you feel safe every step of the way. My goal is never simply to provide excellent clinical care, although that is incredibly important, but to create a relationship built on trust, respect, and genuine partnership. I want you to feel heard, valued, and empowered to make decisions that are right for you and your family.
That vision became InnerBirth – Sanctuary for Birth and Wellness—a place where exceptional midwifery, evidence-informed care, holistic wellness, and genuine human connection come together. More than a birth center, it is a sanctuary where women are deeply seen, families are wholeheartedly supported, and the sacredness of birth is honored every step of the way.
My faith is the foundation of my life and shapes the way I love, serve, and care for every family I have the honor of supporting. My life’s work is to restore reverence to birth, to create a place where women feel safe, empowered, and deeply cared for. I believe that when birth is honored, its impact extends far beyond a single day. It strengthens families, shapes generations, and has the power to change the world from the inside out.

Learn More About Gwen
I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart for many years, and together we’ve been blessed with eight children whose births span nearly two decades. Today, one of my greatest joys is watching our family continue to grow as I spend time with our eleven grandchildren. Outside of birth work, I love taking walks by the lake, enjoying coffee dates with friends, and, perhaps not surprisingly, learning everything I can about pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care. Birth has fascinated me for as long as I can remember, and I still find myself reading and researching simply because I love helping families feel informed and confident.
My passion for birth began in high school as I watched my mother, a registered nurse, teach childbirth classes and serve as a doula for women in our community. Those early experiences planted a seed that continued to grow throughout my own journey into motherhood. After completing my undergraduate studies and attending medical school for two years, I ultimately found my calling through the experiences of pregnancy, birth, and raising my own family. Each of my births strengthened my desire to walk alongside women as they discover their own strength and advocate for the birth experience they hope for.
I’ve had the privilege of serving families as a certified birth doula for more than 16 years, and in 2026 I became a Wisconsin Licensed Midwife and Certified Professional Midwife. Joining the InnerBirth team has truly felt like coming home. I had the opportunity to assist Kimberly at births before becoming a student midwife, and seeing the compassionate, family-centered care she provided only confirmed that this was where I wanted to continue serving families.
When you work with me, you can expect someone who listens carefully, takes time to educate, and believes your questions deserve thoughtful answers. I want every family to feel prepared, supported, and empowered to make informed decisions throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum season. I believe every family deserves individualized care, encouragement, and someone who will stand beside them with both knowledge and compassion.
It is a tremendous privilege to care for women and couples during one of the most meaningful seasons of their lives. My goal is not simply to help deliver babies, but to help families feel confident, respected, and cared for every step of the way. I hope to be a calming presence, a trusted guide, and a voice that reminds you of your strength as you welcome your baby into the world.

Learn More About Kristi
Hello! I’m Kristi. If you came over to my house, the first thing I’d do is welcome you in, pull up a chair at the table, and make you feel like you’ve been part of our family for years. My heart has always been drawn to creating connection and holding space for others during some of life’s most meaningful transitions. One of my favorite things about serving at InnerBirth is that I was once an InnerBirth mama myself, sitting exactly where you are now. I know firsthand what it feels like to place your trust in someone during pregnancy and birth, and that experience has shaped the way I care for every family I meet.
At home, life is wonderfully full. My husband, Dane, and I are raising our two energetic boys, Dax and Kade, alongside our dog, Ripley, and our cat, Benelli. When I’m not chasing after my crew, you’ll usually find me working in the garden, staying active, spending time outdoors, listening to music, or cooking a hearty meal to share with family and friends. Those simple, everyday moments bring me the greatest joy.
Before entering healthcare, I spent years in the service industry, where I learned the value of truly caring for people and making them feel seen. Becoming a mother deepened that understanding in ways I never could have imagined. Breastfeeding, navigating nursing school with a newborn, balancing life with two young boys, and rediscovering myself through motherhood taught me just how beautiful, and challenging, the postpartum season can be. Those experiences left me with one conviction: no mother should ever feel alone.
My own health journey also influenced the path that brought me here. Growing up with a congenital birth defect introduced me to both the strengths and limitations of traditional healthcare. Those experiences inspired me to pursue nursing while also developing a deep appreciation for functional and root-cause approaches to wellness. I’m continuing my education and pursuing functional medicine so I can better understand and support the whole person, not simply address symptoms. As part of that vision, I’m also developing a mobile IV wellness clinic, which will provide additional resources and support for InnerBirth families as they navigate pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and beyond. I’m excited about the opportunity to bring these complementary resources together under the InnerBirth umbrella, giving families access to more holistic support throughout their journey.
My philosophy is grounded in cura personalis, caring for the whole person, body, mind, and spirit. My faith reminds me to lead with grace, compassion, and a judgment-free heart, and I believe every family deserves to feel heard, respected, and deeply supported.
When you work with me at InnerBirth, you can expect a true partnership. I’ll meet you where you are, answer your questions honestly, encourage you through the hard moments, celebrate the joyful ones, and walk beside you every step of the way. My greatest hope is that from the moment you walk through our doors, you feel safe, cared for, and completely at home. I can’t wait to meet you!
Eva Gabor
Postpartum Doula
Learn More About Eva
Hi, I’m Eva, a postpartum doula here at InnerBirth. I’m a mom of three energetic little boys, and life with them and my husband is full and loud in the best way. When I’m not with clients, you’ll probably find me planning our next family trip, cooking something new in the kitchen, or crocheting something cozy after everyone’s finally asleep. Family is the center of my world, which is probably why this work feels less like a career and more like an extension of who I already am.
My role at InnerBirth is caring for moms and growing families during those first tender days and weeks postpartum. I found my way to this work through my own experience of motherhood. After my first son was born, my postpartum period was harder than I expected, and before I had really caught my breath, I was pregnant again. In the middle of that whirlwind, I began searching for a gentler, more supported way through this season of motherhood. That search slowly grew into a genuine passion for supporting other women and families, and by the time my third son arrived, I knew I wanted to step fully into this work.
I understand how beautiful and overwhelming those early days can be. There is so much joy, but there can also be exhaustion, uncertainty, and a lot of learning as you figure out life with a new baby. My hope is to help make that transition feel a little lighter and more manageable.
When you work with me, you can expect a peaceful and lighthearted presence. I move quickly, pay close attention, and try to stay a step ahead of what you might need before you even ask. I love finding the little things that can make a big difference, whether that’s preparing something nourishing, helping with the baby, creating a calmer environment, or simply sitting with you and listening. If I notice something that could become a roadblock for you or your family, I’ll approach you with gentleness and honesty. I aim to be real with you and always kind, because I believe families deserve support that is both practical and compassionate.
My faith shapes how I show up for every family I serve. As a Christian, I believe our bodies were lovingly designed for pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, and I believe the entire family deserves to be cared for with intention, understanding, and love. Everything I do comes from a deep passion for motherhood and a desire to help the whole household find greater peace during the postpartum season.
It is an honor to walk alongside families during such a significant transition. My hope is that when I leave your home, you feel a little more rested, a little more confident, and reminded that you don’t have to do this alone. I can’t wait to meet you and your growing family!

Learn More About Tonya
I’ve been married for more than 26 years, and my greatest joy in life is being a mom to my three wonderful children. When I’m not spending time with my family, you’ll most likely find me cooking for the people I love, curled up with a good book, going for a run or walk (on a good day!), or finding ways to encourage and support young families. Home-cooked meals and great big hugs are definitely my love languages or at least the way I most naturally show people they’re cared for.
I’ve always been a “baby person.” For more than 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of working with children and families in one way or another. But it wasn’t until I became a mother myself that my heart truly opened to what new parents experience. I remember so clearly what those early days felt like, the questions, the exhaustion, the joy, and the tenderness of it all. That experience grew my love for babies into a deep compassion for moms and dads as they navigate the beautiful and often overwhelming transition into parenthood.
For more than eight years, I’ve had the joy and honor of serving families as a birth doula, and for over seven years as a postpartum doula. I’m also a Hypnobabies Hypno-Doula and a pediatric sleep consultant, which allows me to support families not only through birth but throughout those precious early weeks and months when everything feels so new.
I’m thrilled to be part of the InnerBirth team as a postpartum doula, especially because I have the opportunity to care for home birth families during those first tender days at home. There is something incredibly special about stepping into a family’s space, helping them settle into life with their new baby, and creating an environment where parents can simply rest, heal, and bond. I love that InnerBirth values and protects this kind of intentional, relationship-centered care.
When you invite me into your home, my hope is that you’ll feel like you’ve welcomed a trusted friend. Whether I’m preparing a nourishing meal, helping with baby care, answering questions, offering reassurance, or simply listening, I want you to feel seen, supported, and never alone. Every family is different, and I believe the best care begins with listening well and meeting you exactly where you are.
My faith is at the heart of all I do. Psalm 139:13–14 says, “For it was you who created my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will praise you because I have been remarkably and wonderfully made.” I believe every person—every mom, every dad, and every tiny newborn—has been wonderfully created and deeply loved by God. That truth shapes the way I care for others. My hope is that every family I have the privilege of serving feels supported, comforted, and surrounded by kindness, grace, and genuine love.

Learn More About Jennifer
Hi, I’m Jennifer, but most people call me Jenn.
I believe that some of the most meaningful work happens behind the scenes. While you may not always see me at appointments or births, there’s a good chance I’ve helped answer your questions, coordinate your care, or make sure the little details are taken care of so your experience with InnerBirth feels smooth and welcoming from the very beginning.
At home, I’m a wife and a mom to three amazing kids, and my family is the center of everything I do. I love gathering people around the table, tackling creative projects, organizing spaces and systems, and finding simple ways to make life easier for those I care about. Whether I’m planning an event, creating something beautiful, or helping someone solve a problem, I find joy in serving others with thoughtfulness and intention.
Supporting women and families has always been close to my heart. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to serve businesses, nonprofits, and leaders in many different ways, but the work that fills me up most is helping organizations whose mission truly makes a difference. That’s one of the reasons I feel so grateful to be part of the InnerBirth family. I believe the care families receive extends far beyond the exam room, and I’m honored to play a role in creating an experience where every parent feels cared for, informed, and valued.
When you reach out to InnerBirth, my hope is that you immediately feel like you’ve connected with someone who genuinely wants to help. Whether I’m answering an email, coordinating schedules, or helping our team behind the scenes, I want every interaction to leave you feeling welcomed, supported, and confident that you’re in good hands. I know pregnancy and parenthood come with enough unknowns, so if I can make even one part of your journey feel a little easier, I’ve done my job well.
One of the things I love most about InnerBirth is that we truly care about people, not just patients. Every member of our team brings unique gifts, but we all share the same desire to serve families with compassion, excellence, and respect. It is a privilege to help create a place where women feel seen, heard, and deeply supported from their very first phone call to long after they welcome their baby.
I believe kindness matters, details matter, and relationships matter. My goal is to make sure every family who connects with InnerBirth feels like they belong here. I can’t wait to be a small part of your journey.
“Kim and Cairiel were instrumental in me achieving a vbac home birth with my second baby. Throughout our time together in my pregnancy Kim not only brought her extensive experience and knowledge to every visit but also her encouraging, and loving affirmation in my innate knowledge and ability to grow and birth my baby.
After a pretty traumatic hospital transfer experience with my first baby, both her wisdom and emotional support helped guide me through pregnancy and build me up in ways I didn’t even know I needed. I was able to make all completely informed decisions and knew I could trust her expert opinion when I needed it. I came to her with some previous medical conditions that I experienced with my first pregnancy and she not only supported my decision to have a home birth, but helped me come up with a plan to support my body better in this pregnancy and avoid those issues from arising again!
During my long birth she was present when I needed but trusted in my abilities to a fault, supporting me to find the strength to stay home even when exhaustion was taking its toll.
I birthed my 11lb2oz vbac baby at home, and a lot of credit goes to my care team for holding me so well and for constantly believing in me as well as giving my mind the peace that if something was wrong they would know and support me in transfer. This birth changed me fundamentally as a person and mother, and having a midwife like Kim to supporting me made it possible.
